Felinfach FC Claims Ceredigion Cup Glory!

Anticipation was high across Dyffryn Aeron over the Easter weekend, culminating in a thrilling combination of drama, determination and well-deserved celebrations as Felinfach FC claimed victory in the Ceredigion League Cup Final. 

We’re thrilled that CPD Felinfach FC have secured Y Felin’s first ever Ceredigion League Cup title following a hard fought 2-1 win over a formidable Llechryd side on Easter Monday. What better time to shine a spotlight on the team, than in the latest edition of our Sponsorship Spotlight Series. 

Formed in 1980 and based in the village that gives the team its name, Felinfach FC are a proud Welsh club competing in the Ceredigion League Division One. In addition to their league campaign, they took part in the 2024-25 Welsh Cup and recently earned Platinum accreditation in the Football Association of Wales’ Junior section – the highest award available through the FAW’s accreditation programme. This cup victory adds yet another accolade to the club’s growing reputation. 

Played under clearer skies than forecast, the final lived up to all expectations. Felinfach played with determination and skill, backed by a passionate crowd – many of whom travelled on a dedicated bus arranged to take them to the ground in Aberaeron. Llechryd took the lead in the 57th minute, but the Y Felin’s fans were rewarded a few minutes later with two goals scored in quick succession by 18-year-old Rhys Williams, sparking jubilant eruptions from supporters. 

Felinfach’s journey to the cup has been nothing short of inspiring, and our congratulations go out to the entire squad and team at CPD Felifach FC. This League Cup win is a testament to their hard work, consistency and unshakeable team spirit.
