This Month at BCC: May 2024 Author: Tomos Charles Happy Friday, everyone! We hope you are all enjoying the late afternoon sun as we are and looking forward to the first month of summer as we transition from May and spring. This month has been eventful at BCC IT, where we have continued our temporary rebrand to BCC DIY, welcomed back our General Manager, planned a fundraising event, and some of us have had the opportunity to enjoy some well-deserved rest. Last month, we informed you about our temporary rebrand to BCC DIY as we embarked on building a fence outside. This rebrand has continued with the painting of the container outside. Jeremy has led this project with Josh, one of our workshop employees, and with occasional assistance from me when available. The container has transformed from a pale yellow to an appealing olive colour, blending more harmoniously into the background. Additionally, we have installed a new door and a pathway with a roof. We are very pleased with the progress made on the container and would like to extend our gratitude to Barry Evans Metalworks and Grev’s Property Maintenance for installing the door and constructing the roof, respectively. We will keep you updated on the progress of this project and aim to showcase the finished product in next month’s “This Month in BCC.” This month, we also welcomed back our General Manager, Leon, who had been away due to medical reasons and an operation. We are delighted by Leon’s swift recovery, we made sure to welcome him back to the office with a warm cup of tea. At BCC IT, we take great pride in supporting numerous charities by providing a range of IT, telephony, and other support services. These charities offer invaluable services to their local communities and beyond. In our effort to give back, we are excited to announce a sponsored walk on June 30th from Porthgain to Abereiddy and back. We are thrilled about this event and will reveal the charity we will be supporting through a random draw on our X/Twitter account (@BCCIT). Stay tuned to see which charity we will be supporting and to view pictures from our sponsored walk. Lastly, many of us have taken some time to rest this month. Some have enjoyed a trip to France for a company event, while others have gone on holiday or taken annual leave. We hope everyone, whether employees or clients, is having a wonderful time. Whether you are catching up on tasks at home or enjoying a lavish getaway, we wish you a great and well-deserved rest. Thank you for reading, and we look forward to seeing you in June!
