This Month At BCC IT: December

December at BCC IT has been a harmonious blend of festive preparations, office transitions, and shared moments of celebration. As the holiday season envelops us in its warmth, we take a moment to reflect on the events that have shaped our company culture and set the stage for a promising new year.

The month began with a sense of quiet anticipation as the team at BCC IT embraced the holiday spirit. Amidst the festivities, we continued settling into our new office space, a project that reached its culmination with the arrival of brand-new desks. Today, we are thrilled to officially declare our sales room complete. The journey was longer than expected, but the collective effort and dedication of the team made it a resounding success. The introduction of individual workstations has revitalized our workspace, fostering an environment where productivity seamlessly intertwines with camaraderie. The transition from a confined meeting room to a spacious and dynamic office has been met with unanimous agreement—it’s refreshing to be back in the heart of our workspace.

We also put up a lot of Christmas decorations! As you can see from the banner picture and picture below we made sure to make the office feel as Christmassy as possible. It’s like a small little BCC winter wonderland. We’ve got everything from little tinsel around our monitors to a small tree in the corner near Deb’s office. It was nice putting up the decorations with everyone… Even though some of them have fallen down now. Oops

Adding to the festive cheer, we organized a Secret Santa gift exchange right here in the office. It was heartwarming to witness the thoughtful presents we all received from one another. Personally, I was pleasantly surprised with a generous gift from my Secret Santa—a pack of 8 Monster Energy cans. It seems they’ve picked up on my morning routine and my fondness for energy drinks to kickstart the day. The joy extended to everyone as we unwrapped our gifts, and it was evident that each item was carefully chosen with the recipient in mind. I had the pleasure of selecting a gift for one of our service desk members—a stylish wallet that he genuinely appreciated.

In the spirit of festive cheer, BCC IT hosted a staff party. The evening was filled with laughter, merriment, and perhaps a bit of overindulgence for some. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful opportunity for the team to come together and celebrate the conclusion of another successful year. The festivities included a delightful dinner at Moonlight Newcastle Emlyn. As we bid farewell to 2023, the anticipation for future celebrations and shared experiences runs high.
